OFFICIAL IC RULES OF HALFMOON
« on: October 04, 2020, 02:37:47 AM »
GENERAL IC RULES
these rules are expected to be followed across every roleplay and, if broken, will result in a punishment. the type of punishment varies from rule to rule, but typically the first rule break results in a message by staff, the second an official warning, and the third temporary a ban.

I.) POWER-PLAYING AND GOD-MODDING
power-playing (making your character invincible/over-powered) or god-modding (controlling another character that is not yours) will not be allowed without permission from the other member who you are writing with. to avoid power-playing, please include wording such as "bishop attempted to," "bishop tried to," "bishop moved to," etcetera. if permission is given, please also make a note of that in your post!

II.) GRAPHIC CONTENT
as mentioned in the ooc rules, halfmoon is a pg-13 site, so extreme gore/sexual content is not allowed. sexual assault is not allowed to be roleplayed, but it can be in a character's backstory so long as it isn't brought up in detail. as always, please provide a trigger warning for sensitive material. characters may receive injuries during roleplay, however don't post gruesome torture topics with limb removal and such. put trigger warnings at the top of more violent posts.

III.) CRIMINAL/VILLAINOUS CHARACTERS
characters are allowed to be evil and/or criminals! however, this does not apply to pedophilia, sexual abusers, racist characters, etcetera—those are not allowed.

IV.) BLOODLINES AND LITTERS
all adoptable characters—including both bloodlines from hesper county and litters from boundless havens—are required to be a result from consensual reproduction. additionally, both parent must be fully grown individuals. for humans this is 18+; for animals, it is the year which their species is fully grown and able to reproduce (for mythical creatures, 1 year is the umbrella age).

HESPER COUNTY RULES
all ic rules apply as well.

I.) AGE
to restrict any underage relationships, transitioning while underage, age of consent issues, etcetera, all characters must be 18 years of age or older. while this can limit characters in terms of creating or writing, this is necessary to prevent any issues with characters that are minors!

II.) HYBRIDS
unfortunately, hybrids are not allowed! a character will either be supernatural or human, and if supernatural, they can only be one creature. no werewolf/vampire hybrids, for example.

III.) GOD-MODDING
do not have your character discover the supernatural identity of another's without permission. not only does this force the other roleplayer into a plot they may not want to develop, but it could also affect many other characters. ask for permission first.

BOUNDLESS HAVENS RULES
all ic rules apply as well.

I.) HYBRIDS
litters from animals that cannot realistically reproduce will not be allowed (i.e. cat/dog hybrids). this also applies to mythical creatures. if your characters will have a litter, please choose them to be one animal!

II.) LEADER INACTIVITY
when a leader is inactive (less than 4 roleplay posts or more in 2 weeks), staff will dm the leader a check-up to see if any assistance or guidance is necessary. if the leader continues to be inactive by the 3rd week, unfortunately they must be demoted. if a leader is going on an extended break, it's highly recommended to post an ooc notice and appoint their second-in-command as temporary leader until they return. however, if the leader's break extends 3 weeks, they will be demoted.

III.) DEMOTIONS
all demotions must be justifiable by ic actions or ooc inactivity. do not demote people out of aggression.
